The pound euro exchange rate eased today, with the pairing currently trading around €1.159. Brexit uncertainty is on the increase after Downing Street threatened to abandon the current deal and seek a general election before Christmas. Speaking in the House of Commons today, Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned MPs that a vote against his “programme motion” would result in a snap general election.
