THE pound is trading up slightly against the US dollar today at a rate of $1.3015 after sinking yesterday following some weak UK construction data. The pound fell across the board following a mixture of poor data in the form of September’s construction PPI, and trader jitters over Boris Johnson’s appearance at the Conservative Party conference.
