THE boss of TSB yesterday apologised "profusely" to customers after admitting 1,300 people had lost money to fraudsters as a result of an IT meltdown. Paul Pester told the Treasury Committee that the Spanish-owned lender had been "overwhelmed" by reports of fraud in the days following the introduction of a new system in April, which left customers struggling to see their balances and make transactions. -»
