READERS of the Daily Express were assured yesterday the political stance of their favourite newspaper would remain unchanged. The announcement followed a deal being struck by the publishers of the Daily Mirror to buy a string of titles from Richard Desmond’s media empire for £126.7million which included the Daily Express, the Daily Star and OK! magazine.
